” From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”

-Prince, song lyrics Love, album 3121,

or – Luke 6:45, Bible, pick your cite

tl;dr? From the black hole of his heart, the potty mouth of Trump speaks. Where is, as is and apparently he does not have a heart. His abundance is in bankruptcy – financial, moral, ethical, social … it’s a long list.

In the early 1970’s, I became aware that President Richard Nixon used words in private that he wouldn’t use in public, in a speech, on TV or radio. Words that yet today are censored with asterisks (*).

Aside: Today the NYTimes T-magazine video “An Eccentric Upstate Home that Some People Confuse for a Restaurant” featured ‘Peter Saul’s “F**k Los Angeles (1968)’ artwork where in the artwork, one can clearly read the words “Fuck Los Angeles.” And so we wonder: what is the point of all of this asterisk censorshi* if the word is .right.there.on.the.art?

But I digress.

I was at a coming-of-age age where I realized that what one says in public — the vocabulary, the tone — may not be what one says in private. I can vouch that I never heard any of the Presidents following Nixon — Ford, Carter, Bush the H.W., Clinton, Bush the W., and Obama — use salty swears in public.

But! No more. Prescedense OTUS has broken through the salty blue glass ceiling to take public the basest of language usually reserved for the floor. Words I haven’t heard former Presidents utter:

  • s*it*ole
  • as*hole
  • fu*k and all it’s variations
  • go* da*n
  • bi*ch
  • the list goes on: spam

Tuesday we found out that on the floor of the House of Representatives, in the rule book, an elected representative cannot state that the POTUS is a racist, but that POTUS’ words are racist. Here I thought I was a nitpicker. And here we are back to where I started, “from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” P-OTUS is a racist.

Evidence that the *rump heart is a black hole: Federalist Supercut, February 2016.

It has only gotten worse. I fear for the crowds he sucks into his black hole heart. “They only get better one-by-one,” (Sting) and that’s going to take a lot of work. Ugh. I stop now.

Peace. Here’s the ending to Babe:
